Rail Sewing Systems are designed for the 70/72-class line of butt-seaming machines. These systems automate the seaming of piece goods or fabric bolts for the great increases in productivity. The Rail delivers the straightest, most perfectly matched seam by aligning, matching and locking fabric ends before sewing begins. It features a positive carriage and head drive which maintains the rate of feed built into the machine, yet allows change of feed rate whenever necessary.
Other features of the rail system include friction wheel carriage drive, and sewing machine swing-out for adjustment or needle looper changes. The AC variable speed drive permits stitch or stitch multiplier changes at will. Metal-sensing proximity switches replace the old mechanical limit switches, a vast improvement over traditional rail systems. All of the old belts, pulleys, clutches, rack gears and carriage wheels are a thing of the past, meaning fewer wear parts in your rail assembly.
The Rail system is offered with a choice of selvedge clamps or pins.
