The Merrow 70-D3B-2_G industrial sewing machine produces a single-thread butted Gap seam, specifically designed for the end-end seaming of woven and non-woven material. The machine sews a 5/8” stitch with a physical gap (approximately 1/32”-1/16” wide) between the ends of joined fabric. This stitch is effective for applications that require drainage or seam detection between pieces of fabric. The 70-D3B-2_G can also be used in the processing of thick fabric, where it allows a seam to lay flat under the tension of processing.
