The MB-4DFO is an advanced sewing machine that has been introduced to sew on today's technical fabrics. Built on Merrow's unique cam driven architeture, the MB-4DFO sews a flat overlock seam that replaces conventional cover and flat stitching. At a standard width of 5/32", the seam is as attractive as it is functional, giving with the material along the long axis of the seam yet holding strong across the short axis.
The stitch has a noticeably flat profile and is nearly imperceptible when worn on base layer garments that rest next to skin. The MB-4DFO sews with two or three threads at 5500 SPM and can be adjusted at the factory to sew on all weights of fabric for technical activewear. For visual distinction and technical performance, the MB-4DFO is the next advancement in technical sewing.
ActiveSeam is a Merrow Branded Stitch that was specifically designed for athletic garments and activewear. As part of the Branded Stitch Program, ActiveSeam is custom sewn to customer's material and presents a more valuable alternative to flatlock stitching.

The MG-3DW-7 is a heavy duty hemming and seaming machine. Because it is designed with extra space between the needle plate and presser foot, it is primarily used for heavy or dense fabrics and is perfect for sewing materials such as kevlar or nomex. The MG-3DW-7 sews a 1/4" stitch that stretches with fabric while remaining durable and comfortable.
It sews with three threads, and its wide opening cutters accommodate thick seams and multiple layer inserts - even crossing elastic sections. It provides extra looper and needle throw which is a must when sewing heavier knits and wovens like those used in the construction of fire resistant garments.
The Merrow Seam for Nomex Material is a heavy duty stitch that is sewn on Nomex material with Nomex thread. When sewn with a 1SDT Merrow Genuine Needle and proper thread, the Merrow Overseam for Nomex Material meets specifications MIL-C-83141A and MIL-C-83429B of the U.S. Military.

The MG-3U VELCRO adds the traditional Merrow edge to removable military badges, patches, and insignias. Merrow has configured the standard MG-3U to put a clean edge on velcro emblems without taking up the hook and loop material that adheres the patch; the result - a high quality product that preserves the detail of the emblem and that won't come off during normal wear.
The MG-3U VELCRO uses a specifically configured finger plate and tension setting when sewing, both of which can be adjusted at the Merrow factory to suit the particular shape and size of end user patches. The machine's cam-driven architecture ensures it will sew precisely with minimal maintenance, and its high quality parts and materials guarantee a lifetime of service.
The Velcro Emblem Edge from Merrow is a regulation emblem edge sewn on velcro patches, badges, and insignias. The stitch does not take up any of the hook and loop material on the patch backing, preserving the beauty of the stitch and the functionality of the patch.

The MG-3D is a version of one of Merrow's MG Class Hemming Machines that has been modified for specific use on heavy wool military blankets. The MG-3D has a swinging edge guided to limit the amount of material being trimmed, and to aid the operator in producing a straight edge. The MG-3D sews a standard 1/4" seam which can be modified according
to application requirements. Like all MG Class Machines, the MG-3D runs quietly and smoothly and has been engineered to operate continuously without failure. With the Merrow MG-3D, owners can expect a finished product that will be as appealing and durable as when the machine was new - even after decades of use.
The Merrow Overedge Seam for Military Blankets is a resilient stitch that holds up to the construction standards set forth by the U.S. government in Specification MIL-B-844 for military blankets.
